(POET)
DAWN AND SUNSET
Copyright 1984 - PATRICIA A. FARRINGTON
BY: Patricia A. Farrington
Sea born
cobwebs of fog,
shroud buildings,
and rose gardens.
Buildings,
oversized railroad cars,
corridors cut by leaden doors,
bring back a door
once easily opened,
in gown of white.
She is tired now,
she walks peacefully
in the shadow of death
which waits for all.
She beholds sea, sky,
and flowers.
Seeing yesterdays
in sunlight on roses.
Loved ones are gone now,
and she waits patiently
for time to still the flesh
started, when flesh was
rose petal white,
and flushed.
