Columbia Publishing Company will distribute and sell your book even if it is already published and printed by you - - or by another publisher.
If another publisher published your book - - we can also sell and distribute your book - - if we receive a written release from your publisher authorizing Columbia to sell and distribute your book via our World-Wide Internet Distributing and Selling System - - or reprint your book (if required) at our printing facilities at a competitive price
The quality of your writing - - the subject of your book - - and how you put your book together will determine the degree of public acceptance and sales.
Columbia will charge you a 40% sales commission on each book
sold through our World-Wide Internet Distributing and Selling System.
Initial cost to include your book in our World-Wide Internet Distributing and Selling System is $ 450.
Two weeks after the end of each month you will receive a check to cover all of your books sold during that month.
Columbia Publishing will store in our warehouse a limited number of your books so that we can fulfill and ship orders promptly. (Quantity of books inventoried by Columbia will be determined by Columbia based upon sales demand.)
The larger quantity of your book inventory is to be stored by the Author. You must store them in a place that will protect them from damage of any kind - - especially from dampness. Columbia will not sell or distribute any books from you that are damaged in any manner - - books must always be in perfect condition - - look fresh and new with a pleasant aroma.
Books damaged in shipment from you to us will be returned to you as rejected for sales at your expense.
In the event that your book shows no sales for a period of 12 months you will be charged a nominal fee of $25.00 per year as a storage and a continuation of sales fee to hold a limited number of copies of your book - - and Columbia will continue to present your book for sale via our World-Wide Internet Sales System under the same conditions as previously indicated.
Columbia will layout and print an attractive brochure to further promote your book sales at no charge to you. You will receive a substantial quantity of these brochures to circulate among your friends, relatives, and guests at your speaking engagements.
In the event that the Author has a web site - - Columbia will require that you ad a link to Columbia's site in an attempt to increase your book sales. The Author must link to www.vanitypublish.com which will bring your viewers directly to our site and your book display.
